Global warming is caused my humans. Yes, us. It's mostly caused when humans drive cars, which emits a greenhouse gas called Co2 (carbon dioxide). In fact, when you drive on mile you emit 404 grams of Co2. That might not seem like much, but eventually that 404 grams will add up.
Global warming is hurting artic animals, but it is also bad for humans. When ice melts it creates water, and there is so much ice on earth, that if and when it all melts, there is going to be huge floodings, wiping out cities and towns.
How can We Fight to End Climate Change?
Global warming is otherwise known as climate change. We know what it is and what it does. But how do we stop it? Good question.
This is the time where trees and other plants come into play. These plants use Co2 to make sugar. One plant might not take in a lot of Co2, but there is power in numbers. Planting plants is important to help the planet stop heating up.
However, is there a way to reverse global warming and make it stop heating up? Unfortunately, that would be unrealistic. It is possible, but unrealistic to plant so many trees and encourage millions of people to stop driving cars. Even though it's unrealistic, that doesn't mean we should not plant trees and let our planet to continue to warm up.
Another way to stop global warming is to notify people of it and encourage them to plant trees and to reduce the amount of car rides that you have - especially if you can walk or bike to the place that you want to go! You can also invest in an electric or hybrid car next time you plan to buy another vehicle. They emit less Co2, and although their up-front price is expensive, you don't have to use as much gas, therefore meaning you won't have to buy as much
